Jean-Michel Landon is a social photographer born in Créteil, a town in the southern suburbs of Paris. This is where he learned about life. Deeply connected to his hometown, he lived there for 40 years.

From a young age, without fully realizing it, he needed passions to shape his daily life. At the age of 10, he began drawing, and three years later, started writing short poems.
Then basketball, skateboarding, and boxing entered his life. A few years later, he created a clothing brand.

At the age of 15, while spending his vacation at his aunt’s house, she bought him disposable cameras, which he used to capture landscapes. He also found inspiration in his neighborhood friends. This brief hobby was soon replaced by rap, which played a major role in his life for many years.

Twenty years later, while working as a social worker in a Créteil neighborhood, his passion for photography suddenly resurfaced.
He bought a small digital camera and began capturing moments of life in the city.

His photos started circulating online, catching the attention of many established photographers. Press articles followed, confirming his growing recognition.

It was then that his father quietly revealed that he, too, had practiced the art of photography.
That same day, he opened a small cabinet, took out his carefully preserved Canon AE-1 film camera, and passed it on to his son.
